Hello students & Parents!! welcome to mr. Booth's
7th grade LIFE Science website
Thank you for visiting Mr. Booth's class website.
Currently, students have completed their survey of SIX animal phyla. These phyla include: cnidarians, mollusks, annelids, arthropods, echinoderms, and chordates. After sorting these phyla out by looking at multiple live specimens, students were then given directions to make their own Google slideshow from their notes. Once we were done we simplified the process to using ONE reason why each group would be different from all the rest. That is how taxonomy works. Our next step is to complete taxonomy for the plant kingdom by look at these FOUR phyla: mosses, ferns, gymnosperms, and angiosperms. We will finish this by wednesday. On wednesday Nov. 13 we will have a unit test review. The test will by Thursday. And out unit project on November Nightmare critters will be due Friday Nov.15
UPDATE: changed rules for the short time frame, students need to pick one of 3 parts...however if doing mobile students still need to answer questions on back of back of sheet i provided |
